Cub Fun Day is an all-day fun-filled event for cub scouts that features family camping, games, races, outdoor skills, and STEM activities. The Sacramento Valley IEEE Section will provide STEM activities: Making a bracelet using colored pony beads (the colors spell your name in Morse Code); Sending a Morse Code message using a 3-color LED and plastic fiber optic cable (to simulate the internet); Powering a Snap Circuits helicopter (to understand how voltage affects a DC motor); and Taking apart an outdoor solar-powered night light (in order to understand how energy is converted.)
